FAQs

What is a file's digital fingerprint (hash)?
The hash function is an encryption function that creates a digital fingerprint (has) from a message or file that will identify it uniquely. The hash is represented by a string with a fixed length, consisting of random alphanumeric characters. The same file always creates the same hash and a single change to the file will change its hash, meaning that it is not possible for two different files to generate the same hash, while it is also practically impossible that a file’s fingerprint will reveal its contents. For this reason, the hash function is above all used in cyber security
